SU part-time faculty approve three-year union contract
Syracuse University part-time faculty members on Friday approved a three-year collective bargaining agreement between the University and Adjuncts United, a labor union affiliated with the New York State United Teachers Union (AU/NYSUT).
Voting for the more than 400 members of the bargaining unit occurred by mail, with the ballots tabulated Friday.
The new agreement covers an additional three-year term, running through May 31, 2014. The parties have been negotiating since late March for a successor to the three-year agreement that expired May 31. The tentative agreement was reached on Aug. 18.
