Kevin Chernett, executive vice president of strategic alliances at Live Nation Entertainment and a 1991 alumnus of the College of Visual and Performing Arts (VPA), will present a lecture on Thursday, Sept. 15, at 6:45 p.m. in the Lender Auditorium, located on the concourse level of the Martin J. Whitman School of Management. The lecture is part of the Bandier Program’s Soyars Leadership Lecture Series in VPA’s Rose, Jules R. and Stanford S. Setnor School of Music. It is open to the University community.

Chernett has overseen Live Nation’s national corporate strategic alliance efforts since 2009. He has worked for Live Nation and its predecessors since 2003, when he joined the company as vice president of national sales and marketing. In 2008, he became senior vice president of strategic alliances and helped build the alliance division, which has been responsible for establishing key strategic corporate partnerships with such companies as Starwood Hotels and Resorts, Coca-Cola, UPS, Citibank, Anheuser-Busch, HP, State Farm and P&G.

Prior to Live Nation, Chernett worked at MusicVision, Inc., a company he founded in 1998. He earned a bachelor of science degree in speech communication from VPA.

For more information about the lecture, contact David Rezak, director of the Bandier Program, at (315) 443-3280 or dmrezak@syr.edu.
