The Post-Standard reported that Bill Viola, video artist and alumnus of Syracuse University, has been named one of five 2011 Praemium Imperiale Laureates. Eric Kingson, professor of social work in the David B. Falk College of Sport and Human Dynamics, co-authored a column in Firedoglake on eliminating Social Security’s projected shortfall through increased revenues, rather than through reductions.
