Summer traffic advisory for Euclid and Comstock avenues
A project by the Syracuse University Steam Station will modify traffic patterns at the intersection of Euclid Avenue and Comstock Avenue.
Beginning on Monday, May 16, through Friday, July 22, Euclid Avenue will be closed to both eastbound and westbound traffic between Comstock Avenue and Ostrom Avenue. Local traffic to Ostrom Place will be maintained throughout the project, but must enter and exit from the Ostrom Avenue and Euclid Avenue intersection. Vehicular traffic shall follow the detour signs for the Euclid Avenue closure.
For the project duration, northbound and southbound traffic on Comstock Avenue will be reduced to one lane in both directions, from Stratford Street to mid-block between Euclid Avenue and University Place.
The #530 Euclid-Westcott and #240 Drumlins buses will detour during this project. After leaving College Place, the buses will operate Euclid Avenue to a left on Comstock Avenue, and will return to Euclid Avenue via Ostrom, avoiding the one block on Euclid between Comstock and Ostrom.
