The Syracuse University Symphony Orchestra (SUSO) will present a concert Tuesday, April 26, at 8 p.m. in the Rose and Jules R. Setnor Auditorium, Crouse College. The concert is free and open to the public. Free parking is available in the Irving Garage.
The SUSO performs under the direction of James Tapia and James Welsch, faculty members in the Rose, Jules R. and Stanford S. Setnor School of Music in the College of Visual and Performing Arts. Debussy’s “Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun” and Hindemith’s “Symphonic Metamorphosis” will be the bookend works in a concert that highlights the Setnor School of Music 2010-11 Concerto and Aria Competition winners in performances of works by Mozart, Stamitz and Weber. Competition winners performing are Trevor Roche, Stephen Ryck, Jillian Bushnell, Jill Brenner and Juliette Sabbah.
