CNBC reported on the White House recognition of the Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans with Disabilities (EBV)—a program founded in 2007 at the Whitman School of Management—during the launch of Joining Forces, a new national initiative spearheaded by first lady Michelle Obama and Jill Biden to support and honor service members and their families. Mentioned as part of the Joining Forces launch was Walmart and Sam’s Club’s Military Families Promise initiative, through which EBV receives a $1 million grant to the EBV Foundation.

The program includes the world premiere of Bret Zvacek’s suite for soloist and jazz orchestra “If a White Horse From Jerusalem.” The piece and performance grew out of last fall’s Syracuse Symposium, “Conflict: Peace and War.”

The Syracuse New Times reviewed the “The Quadrangular Cloud” exhibition at Syracuse University’s Warehouse Gallery. The installation is the work of Swiss artists Sarah Kueng and Lovis Caputo.

A Post-Standard feature previewed the lecture by Emmy-award winning television writer and producer Danny Zuker. Zuker is an alumnus of the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and his lecture is co-sponsored by the television-radio-film program at Newhouse.
