The Sheraton Syracuse University Hotel & Conference Center announces its open house, to be held on April 27 from 3-6 p.m. to reveal its recent renovations. The open house will feature guided tours, refreshments and live entertainment.

The hotel has been undergoing renovations since December 2010, with completed updates to 235 guest rooms, the club lounge and fitness center. These renovations are part of the $3.5 million project that includes the remaining renovations to Rachel’s restaurant, the bar Seasons and the front desk, to be completed by the end of December.
The renovations are part of a larger $4 billion project established by Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. The theme featured at the Sheraton Syracuse is a “return to regency,” which incorporates rich colors and textures from floor to ceiling. The design maintains a classic look while still offering the comfort of modern amenities.
On the list of modern amenities, a number of updates were developed with an eco-friendly mind. Such updates include CFL lighting, low-flow plumbing and the Guest Energy Management (GEM) System.
