Catholic Center announces Holy Week schedule

The Catholic Center at Syracuse University has announced its schedule for Holy Week 2011, April 17-24.

  • Palm Sunday, April 17—Mass will be celebrated at the Catholic Center, 110 Walnut Place, at 10:30 a.m., 4 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., and at 1 p.m. at Hendricks Chapel.
  • Tuesday, April 19—The diocesan Chrism Mass will be celebrated at 7 p.m. at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in downtown Syracuse.
  • Holy Thursday, April 21—A Commemoration of the Institution of the Eucharist and Washing of the Feet will be held at the Catholic Center at 7:30 p.m.
  • Good Friday, April 22—A reflection upon the nails, rope, crown of thorns, gall, cross and whip will take place at noon at Hendricks Chapel. Living Stations of the Cross, walking through campus, will begin at Hendricks Chapel at 1 p.m. A Commemoration of the Death of the Lord and Reception of the Eucharist will be held at the Catholic Center at 7:30 p.m.
  • Holy Saturday, April 23—The Easter Vigil Mass will be celebrated at the Catholic Center at 7:30 p.m.
  • Easter Sunday, April 24—Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. at the Catholic Center and 1 p.m. at Hendricks Chapel.
