Two graduate students in the in the Setnor School of Music in the College of Visual and Performing Arts will present recitals. The recitals, which are free and open to the public, will be held in Setnor Auditorium, Crouse College. Free parking is available in the Irving Garage.
On Saturday, April 9, at 5 p.m., Sangeetha Ekambaram, a soprano and graduate vocal performance student in the Setnor School, will perform a voice recital that includes works by Albinoni, Donizetti, Debussy, Massenet, Delibes and Valerie Capers. The recital will feature Jianan Yu (piano and harpsichord), Lian Qiao (cello) and Sierra Fox (mezzo-soprano). A reception will follow.
On Sunday, April 10, at 5 p.m., Jianan Yu, a graduate piano performance major in the Setnor School, will perform a piano recital that includes Bach’s Chromatic Fantasy and Fugue BWV 903, Mozart’s Fantasy in C Minor, K.475, Barber’s Nocturne Op.33 and Schumann’s Carnaval Op.9.
