ORANGE WRAP Promotes Local/Sustainable Eating During National Nutrition Month

In celebration of National Nutrition Month, ORANGE WRAP is collaborating with the Campus Dining Centers to help students learn more about the benefits of sustainability when it comes to eating locally. Throughout March at campus dining halls, ORANGE WRAP students have organized events that will include trivia, a food miles mapping
activity, personal sustainable eating assessments and educational information on the benefits and resources for eating local and sustainable. They will also have prizes raffles at each presentation, which are scheduled to take place as follow:

March 21 Shaw Hall 5:30-7:30pm
March 22 Sadler 5:30-7:30pm
March 25 Graham 5:30-7:30pm
March 30 Brockway 5:30-7:30pm

ORANGE WRAP was created in the fall of 2005 as part of the Healthy Campus Initiative as a way to provide nutrition education to students across campus. ORANGE WRAP educators are junior, senior and graduate nutrition majors who are selected, trained and supervised by a registered dietitian. The group’s mission is to promote pleasurable
and in-tune eating, the adoption of nutrition guidelines for good health, and the prevention of eating disorders. ORANGE WRAP provides a non-diet approach to nutrition and wellness on campus.
