A Wall Street Journal article highlighted Madison Square Garden as being SU’s home away from home, in comparison to St. John’s University.

CNN cited a report by the Maxwell School and the New America Foundation in an article on the terrorism threat of homegrown jihadist militants.

Dick Case’s Post-Standard column included a mention of the Connective Corridor tree removal project and public feedback on the process.

Felix Cochren, associate professor of drama in the College of Visual and Performing Arts, is mentioned in a Post-Standard profile of Syracuse Stage’s Kyle Bass and the upcoming play “Name in the Street.”

Joanne Waghorne, professor of religion in The College of Arts and Sciences, is quoted in an Associated Press article on “Vishnu: Hinduism’s Blue-Skinned Savior,” a new exhibit at Nashville’s Frist Center for the Visual Arts.

A Dallas Examiner article quoted School of Information Studies COTELCO Research Fellow Janet Marsden about re-engineering electric grids to eliminate overheating, reduce energy waste and lengthen computer life. In the radio program “Promise of Tomorrow,” Marsden talked about how homes and businesses will no longer use the traditional electric grid to access electrical power.

Robert Thompson, director of the Bleier Center for Television and Popular Culture in the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, is quoted in Reuters on actor Charlie Sheen.

9WSYR spoke with Don Dutkowsky, professor of economics at the Maxwell School, about the use of oil reserves in a time of rising gas prices.
