SU Brass Ensemble announces spring concerts

The Syracuse University Brass Ensemble, directed by James T. Spencer, announces its annual spring schedule, with new dates in Rome, N.Y. and Watertown, N.Y.  All concerts are free and open to the public, unless otherwise indicated. For more information, call (315) 786-2458, or visit SUBE on Facebook.

Sunday, March 20, 2 p.m.
“Bach Fest”
The United Church of Fayetteville
310 East Genesee St., Fayetteville

Saturday, March 26, 7:30 p.m.
Joint concert with the Watertown High School Wind Ensemble
Watertown High School
1335 Washington St., Watertown

Sunday, March 27, 3 p.m.
“Silver Screen Spectacular”
Capitol Theater
220 West Dominick St., Rome
$6 family, $5 children and adults, and $2 senior citizens, with proceeds benefiting SUBE

Tuesday, March 29, at 7 p.m.
“Brass Bash,” featuring area brass ensembles
Central Square High School
642 South Main St., Central Square

April (Date and Time TBA)
“Silver Screen Spectacular”
The Palace Theater
2384 James St., Syracuse
$6 family, $5 children and adults, and $2 senior citizens, benefiting SUBE

Saturday, May 21, 7 p.m.
“Spring Fling”
310 East Genesee St., Fayetteville
$8 adults and $6 children, benefiting UCF Witness Ministries

“We are proud to expand our annual spring schedule to include dates in central and upstate New York,” says Spencer, who serves as an SU Meredith Professor and as associate dean for science, mathematics and research in SU’s College of Arts and Sciences. “Each concert features light classics and popular numbers, designed to appeal to listeners of all ages. It’s fun for the whole family.”
