ESPN looked at the legacy of Syracuse University great Jim Brown in a Black History Month feature on diversity in lacrosse.

The Sacramento Bee featured the PepsiCo Dream Machine Recycling Initiative, which benefits the Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans with Disabilities (EBV), a national program created and managed in the Whitman School of Management.

InsideHigherEd reported on SU’s recruitment and admissions strategy, specifically as it relates to accessibility for low-income students.

Syracuse University’s archive of Boris Artzybasheff artwork is noted in a Canada Free Press article exploring insights about the American Dream in 1950s. Artzybasheff emigrated to America from Russia and created more than 200 cover illustrations for Time magazine from 1941 forward.

Inc. Magazine profiled Ryan Dickerson, a graduate student in the Whitman School of Management, for his entrepreneurial success with the Rylaxer.

The Watertown Daily Times noted David Van Slyke, associate professor of public administration in the Maxwell School, will consult on development of a new mental health clinic as the area’s Mercy Behavioral Health and Wellness clinic closes.

The Sheraton Syracuse University Hotel & Conference Center was recognized in the Post-Standard for being among the local institutions to receive a Recycler of the Year Award from the Onondaga County Resource Recovery Agency.

The Post-Standard mentioned Syracuse Say Yes to Education in an article on the candidates for Syracuse City School District superintendent.

The Post-Standard reported that U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton may lead the United States to seek prosecution of Libyan dictator Moammar Gadhafi for the 1988 bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 that killed 35 Syracuse University students.

Robert Thompson, director of the Bleier Center for Television and Popular Culture in the Newhouse School, spoke with WTOP-AM in Washington, D.C. (listen to segment) on the public’s fascination with actor Charlie Sheen.

Research by Stephanie Ortigue, assistant professor of psychology in The College of Arts and Sciences, analyzing the effect of love on the human brain’s neural network is cited in a Nashua Telegraph (N.H.) article about the language of love.

David Cay Johnston, distinguished visiting lecturer in the College of Law, was interviewed on Wisconsin Public Radio’s “Kathleen Dunn Show” about taxes and Wisconsin Governor Walker’s budget repair bill. He also spoke with New York’s WARL radio and MSNBC’s “Ed Show” about Wisconsin’s pension system. A column he wrote for Tax.com on Gov. Walker’s collective bargaining proposal was cited in the Washington Independent.

Jeffrey Woodward, managing director of Syracuse Stage, and David Lowenstein, instructor at Syracuse University College of Visual and Performing Arts, spoke about Joan E. Vadeboncoeur for a Syracuse.com video tribute to the recently deceased critic and arts editor at the Post-Standard.
