The Commercial Appeal and CNY Central reported on Memphis’ Education Trust Reality being selected to develop the Campus West Apartments.

The inaugural February issue of Syracuse Woman Magazine mentions Women Igniting the Spirit of Entrepreneurship (WISE) and the WISE Symposium in an article about women in business. Also, Joanne Lenweaver, director of the Whitman School of Management’s WISE Women’s Business Center at the South Side Innovation Center, authored a profile in the issue of one entrepreneur who worked through the programs and workshops of the WISE Center.

FACULTY QUOTES

Rick Burton, David B. Falk Professor of Sport Management in the College of Human Ecology, is quoted in an Atlanta Journal-Constitution article on a proposed open-air stadium for the Atlanta Falcons.

Menachem Z. Rosensaft, distinguished visiting lecturer at Syracuse University College of Law, authored an “On Faith” column for the Washington Post on Ben Shephard’s book “The Long Road Home, The Aftermath of the Second World War,” published recently about the five years following the liberation of the Nazi concentration camps and the end of World War II in the spring of 1945.

Ruth Small, iSchool professor and founding director of the Center for Digital Literacy, is quoted in a Medill Chicago article on the need for students to have digital literacy skills.

David M. Crane L’80, professor of practice in the College of Law, is quoted in a TIME article on Muammar Gaddafi’s legacy in North and West Africa.

9WSYR interviewed School of Education Dean Douglas Biklen and graduate student Jessica Bacon for a segment on teachers’ pay and school funding.

Joan Deppa, associate professor in the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, is quoted about the impact of international affairs on local communities in a CNY Central (watch video clip) report on the unrest in North Africa and the Middle East.
