SU NEWS AND EVENTS COVERAGE

A Washington Post article about unsolved racial murders and the new cable television show, “The Injustice Files,” makes note of investigative work by the Syracuse University College of Law Cold Case Justice Initiative.

The Greater Binghamton Business Journal reported on the collaboration between JPMorgan Chase and SU to provide a new Technology Education Certificate program to post-9/11 veterans.

Eagle Publications included SU and the Connective Corridor in a report on mobile phone applications with local ties.

A Syracuse.com photo gallery featured John Liddy, entrepreneur in residence at Syracuse Tech Garden and director of the Syracuse Student Sandbox program.

FACULTY QUOTES

Comments by Mike Haynie, assistant professor of entrepreneurship in the Whitman School of Management, are part of a McClatchy-Tribune Regional News story about veterans and jobs.

Maxwell School Distinguished Professor of Public Administration Walter Broadnax is quoted in a Politico article discussing Obama administration preparations for the possibility of government shutdown.

David Cay Johnston, distinguished visiting lecturer in the College of Law, was interviewed on Radio Free Dylan about proposed Wisconsin legislation to strip the state’s public employees of most collective bargaining rights and quoted in the Naked Capitalism blog on the topic.

Robert Thompson, director of the Bleier Center for Television and Popular Culture in the S.I. Newhouse School, is quoted in an ABC News story about the “Modern Family” TV show.

Thomas Dennison, professor of practice in public administration in the Maxwell School, is quoted in a Post-Standard article about the possible impact on health care costs of the proposed merger of Upstate and Community General hospitals.
