Deadline approaches for 2011 Chancellor’s Award for Public Engagement & Scholarship nominations.
The Mary Ann Shaw Center for Public and Community Service (CPCS) invites members of the SU and greater Syracuse communities to submit nominations for the Chancellor’s Award for Public Engagement & Scholarship. Deadline for submitting nominations is Friday, Feb. 11.
The Chancellor’s Award for Public Engagement & Scholarship recognizes committed students at Syracuse University who exemplify Scholarship in Action. Syracuse University puts bold ideas in motion through Scholarship in Action – an educational approach that matches the vigorous pursuit of knowledge with the ability to make a difference in the world through community engagement. This award acknowledges individual students, groups of students, residence halls, residence floors, student organizations and academic projects or classes that invest themselves in and contribute to the public good.
Nomination forms can be picked up in the CPCS office located at 237 Schine Student Center or completed online at http://students.syr.edu/cpcs/form_caps_award.html.
The award ceremony is Wednesday, March 30, from 5:30-7 p.m., Goldstein
Auditorium, Schine Student Center.
