Newsweek’s education site online features an article on the documentary “Wretches and Jabberers,” about the travels of disability rights advocates Tracy Thresher and Larry Bissonnette, co-produced by Douglas Biklen, dean of the School of Education at Syracuse University. Biklen is quoted. The site also reports on the music accompanying the documentary. Both stories contain an embedded video trailer of the documentary.

A photo of Alejandro Garcia, professor in the School of Social Work in the College of Human Ecology, appears with an Oswego County Today preview of a SUNY Oswego art exhibition which features Garcia’s collection of Mexican folk art and his photos of Mexican life.

Steven Lloyd, associate director of sustainability at SU, authored a Syracuse New Times article about living more sustainably.

Robert Thompson, director of the Bleier Center for Television and Popular Culture in the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, was interviewed for an Elmira WETM report (watch video clip) on the recently announced retirement of Regis Philbin.
