An article on songs of African American women composers, co-authored by Eileen Strempel, assistant vice president for academic advancement in Enrollment Management and associate professor of fine arts in The College of Arts and Sciences, appeared in the January/February 2011 edition of the Journal of Singing. In the same issue, Strempel’s Atwood Project CD, “(In) Habitation,” an album of musical settings of Margaret Atwood poetry, was reviewed.
The Central New York Business Journal mentions the Whitman School of Management’s South Side Innovation Center (SSIC) in an article about Mirador Consulting.

Robert Thompson, director of the Bleier Center for Television and Popular Culture in the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, is quoted in a Sacramento Bee article on political rhetoric following the shootings in Arizona.
