The Huffington Post reviewed “Jerome Witkin: American Master,” an exhibition of work by Witkin, professor of painting in the College of Visual and Performing Arts, currently on view at California’s Riverside City College.

A Post-Standard Neighbors story about research on African Methodist Episcopal Zion churches in New York notes Angela Williams, librarian of the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library at Syracuse University, co-leads the project. The Fayette Street building formerly housing the People’s AME Zion Church congregation is included in the group of churches. It stands as the oldest African American church in Syracuse.

FACULTY QUOTES

Eric Kingson, professor of social work in the College of Human Ecology’s School of Social Work, was interviewed by CNBC’s “Squawk on the Street” (watch video clip) about proposals to raise or scrap the Social Security payroll tax cap.

Menachem Z. Rosensaft, distinguished visiting lecturer at SU College of Law, authored a Washington Post “On Faith” column about Jewish history in the city of Jerusalem.

Robert Thompson, director of the Bleier Center for Television and Popular Culture in the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, is quoted in a New York Daily News article about selection of James Franco and Anne Hathaway to host the next Academy Awards show.

Anthony Rotolo, assistant professor of practice and social media strategist in the School of Information Studies (iSchool), is quoted in a 9WSYR report on a scam Facebook page associated with memorials for Jenni-Lyn Watson.
