As part of a larger Metropolis Magazine feature on SU’s design-oriented projects in Syracuse, the magazine also provided an article, “The Dean at Syracuse,” focusing on School of Architecture Dean Mark Robbins.

YNN, WSTM-TV, WSYR-TV, WSYR-AM and the Central New York Business Journal reported on the announcement of the new “2+2″ dual admission agreement between Syracuse University and Onondaga Community College.

The Post-Standard previewed the Friday lecture by Brian Wansink, consumer behavior and nutritional sciences professor from Cornell University, as part of the Center for Health and Behavior’s Fall Seminar Series.

Will Headlee, professor emeritus of organ in the College of Visual and Performing Arts’ Setnor School of Music, was a featured guest on Bill Baker’s WCNY-FM broadcast on Nov. 17. Headlee was promoting the Nov. 21 concerts in Setnor Auditorium celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Holtkamp organ.

The Post-Standard featured the donation of art by artists Liliana Porter and Ana Tiscornia to the Point of Contact Gallery. The artists have donated a print series of their work “Black Shoes.”

FACULTY QUOTES

Len Burman, Daniel Patrick Moynihan Professor of Public Affairs in the Maxwell School, is quoted in a Chronicle of Philanthropy article on a federal deficit plan that would eliminate tax deductions for charitable gifts.

Robert Thompson, director of the Bleier Center for Television and Popular Culture in the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, is quoted in the Buffalo News on disputes between cable companies and networks.
