Lillian Slutzker and the Slutzker Center for International Services will be honored by the International Center of Syracuse (ICS)on Friday, Nov. 12. The Global Citizen Award will be presented to her at the 2010 Central New York International Citizen Awards Dinner. The dinner begins at 6 p.m. at the Onondaga Community College, Gordon Student Center Great Room.
For many years, Slutzker has been a generous supporter of Syracuse University and of the Lillian and Emanuel Slutzker Center that bears her name. She is being recognized for her enduring contribution to international students from around the world.
The Keynote Speaker is David R. Smith, president of Upstate University.
The event will be attended by local community members and organizations, including Syracuse School superintendents, leaders in non-profit organizations, and the general public.
