Ceramist Kristen Morgin to give talk Nov. 9
Ceramist Kristen Morgin, a visiting artist of the ceramics program in the College of Visual and Performing Arts’ (VPA) Department of Art, will give a talk on Tuesday, Nov. 9, at 6:30 p.m. in Shemin Auditorium in the Dorothea Ilgen Shaffer Art Building.
Morgin, a 2005 Joan Mitchell Foundation Award winner, has had her work exhibited in numerous galleries, as well as in the New Museum in New York City, the UCLA Hammer Museum and the Icheon World Ceramic Center in Korea. She earned a master of fine arts degree from the New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University, and previously taught ceramics at California State University, Long Beach. She now focuses on her own work and is represented by Marc Selwyn Fine Art in Los Angeles.
