Enroll in intergroup dialogue, WGS/SOC 230

“I would explain it as a class where you speak about issues that you may have been really wanting to speak about and never really had the opportunity or the venue or, you know, certain people to speak with about it. I feel like speaking about issues that we don’t really speak about as a society – that really validates the issues.” (IGD student, Fall 2009)

This Spring 2011 the Intergroup Dialogue Program is offering four sections of intergroup dialogue: Intergroup Dialogue on Race & Ethnicity, Intergroup Dialogue on Gender, Intergroup Dialogue on Sexual Orientation and Women’s Dialogue on Race & Gender. These courses are cross-listed between sociology and women’s and gender studies – SOC/WGS 230 – and can fulfill multiple curricular and co-curricular requirements.

In order to be certain that students in the courses are intentional about their decision to take intergroup dialogue – to create a specific academic environment – we ask students to complete a brief online registration request.
