Masiclat named manager of marketing and communications for SU Abroad
Carol Kim Masiclat, G’01, has been named manager of marketing and communications for SU Abroad.
“We are very excited about adding Carol to the SU Abroad team,” says Daeya Malboeuf, director of communications and creative services for Enrollment Management. “Her valuable blend of experience in marketing, design, writing and production will help us continue to share the SU Abroad story in creative and compelling ways.”
In her new role, Masiclat will work closely with SU Abroad to develop and implement a focused communications and marketing strategy, including messages to promote SU Abroad’s 62 World Partners programs, 33 summer programs and eight abroad centers. She will manage, assess and enhance existing web and print materials, and expand SU Abroad’s use of social media to market programs to students at SU and other universities who study with SU Abroad. Masiclat will also work with University communications offices to distribute news and information on SU Abroad on campus.
Masiclat was previously associate director of communications for the Division of Student Affairs, where she oversaw strategic communications for the division and its 24 units. Prior to joining Student Affairs, she served in SU’s Office of News Services. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English literature from the University of Virginia and a master’s degree in magazine journalism from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.
