Recreational use of Manley Field House

As you may know, Manley Field House arena has
undergone extensive investment and renovation to return it to its
original purpose of being an indoor practice facility for the
University’s intercollegiate athletic teams. As a result, the use
of the Manley Arena by athletic teams will substantially increase, and
most of the teams using it will require full use of the arena
throughout the early morning, day and into evening hours.

For the safety of both student-athletes and members of the SU
community, the use of Manley arena for recreational walking/running is
no longer possible. However, the third level concourse of the
Carrier Dome will continue to be available most weekdays from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. for recreational use by SU community members. In addition, there
are numerous fitness centers, treadmills and other cardio equipment at
Archbold Gymnasium, the Brockway Center, Marion Hall, the Goldstein
Student Center, Ernie Davis Hall and Marshall Square Mall. Thank you
for your understanding and consideration as the Manley Arena
transitions to this new purpose.
