The Observer (Dunkirk, N.Y.) previewed a guest lecture on opera in the Romantic era, “Music and the Mechanical Woman: Comedy and the Uncanny in Offenbach’s Doll Song” to be presented Friday at SUNY Fredonia School of Music by Stephen Meyer, associate professor in the Department of Art and Music Histories in SU’s College of Arts and Sciences.
