The new partnership between the Whitman School of Management and Empire State Development is reported in the Central New York Business Journal. Peter Koveos, professor of finance in the Whitman School and the Kiebach Chair in International Business Studies, is quoted in the article.

“Neuroimaging of Love” research about the emotion and its influence on brain chemistry by Stephanie Ortigue, assistant professor of psychology in The College of Arts and Sciences, published in the Journal of Sexual Medicine, was reported in Syracuse.com and briefly by Rochester’s WHEC-TV news channel.

The Syracuse University Press participation in the Project MUSE offering of ebook collections is noted in eContent magazine, an Information Today publication for professionals in the information and knowledge industry sectors. Project MUSE is a collaboration between libraries and publishers to provide full-text scholarly content of online journal collections in the humanities and social sciences.

The Observer (Dunkirk, N.Y.) previewed a guest lecture on opera in the Romantic era, “Music and the Mechanical Woman: Comedy and the Uncanny in Offenbach’s Doll Song” to be presented Friday at SUNY Fredonia School of Music by Stephen Meyer, associate professor in the Department of Art and Music Histories in SU’s College of Arts and Sciences.

David Cay Johnston, distinguished visiting lecturer in the College of Law and the Whitman School, was interviewed Tuesday for the Kathleen Dunn Show on Wisconsin Public Radio. Johnston discussed the tax breaks due to expire December 31 and provided a historical perspective on U.S. tax codes.
