Student Association sponsors mural contest in Ernie Davis Hall
The Syracuse University Student Association is sponsoring a contest to create a mural in the first floor of Ernie Davis Dining Hall.
The mural will be painted on a wall along the Comstock Ave. side of the dining center. The available space is 14’ x 14’ and can be seen from outside the dining hall.
Undergraduate students from any year within VPA art and design programs are invited to submit their designs for the mural. Submissions must be hard copy, square in size and ideally be created by hand. Digital submissions will be accepted, but must be entered in hard copy to be eligible for the contest.
The tentative deadline is Nov. 15. Entries are to be dropped off in Professor Stephen Zaima’s office in the third floor of the Shaffer Art Building or in the Student Association office in Schine Student Center.
Students should include their name, year, major and an email address on the back of their submissions. Submissions can be designed individually, in pairs or in teams. Students may submit as many designs as they wish.
The winning artist(s) will work with SA for all necessary supplies to complete the mural and students are not responsible for buying supplies.
