SU NEWS AND EVENTS COVERAGE

SU’s Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse (TRAC) is featured in American Thinker on the issue of the federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency withholding immigration information from TRAC.

The Post-Standard briefly previewed “The Quintet of the Astonished” by SU alumnus Bill Viola, which debuts at the Everson Museum—a new site for the Urban Video Project.

The Post-Standard mentioned the “Cotton.From Blue to Green” denim drive, which begins today on campus as a way to collect old jeans that can be recycled into home insulation.

Today’s memorial service at Hendricks Chapel for retired SU professor Norman Balabanian is mentioned in the Post-Standard.

As part of a story on Columbus Day events, the Post-Standard included the panel discussion, “Legacies of Columbus,” in Grant Auditorium at the Syracuse University College of Law.

Rev. Tiffany Steinwert, dean at Hendricks Chapel, is quoted in the Post-Standard on a recent interfaith prayer service for the Gulf Coast region.

WSYR-AM interviewed Gustav Niebuhr, associate professor of religion and media in The College of Arts and Sciences and Newhouse School, on the campus events featuring Daisy Khan.

The Oct./Nov. issue of CNY Business Exchange features articles on several of SU’s community members and programs. Included in the issue is:

–a feature on the plants used for the green roof at the SyracuseCoE headquarters;

–a column by Chancellor Emeritus Kenneth Shaw on preparing for meetings;

–a column by Mitch Franklin, assistant professor of accounting in the Whitman School, on green technology and small business development;

–a review by Mitch Franklin of the green website GreenTechnology.org.

TV program “Hawaii Five-0.”

Menachem Z. Rosensaft, distinguished visiting lecturer at Syracuse University College of Law, authored an “On Faith” column for the Washington Post on Hasidic master Simhah Bunim Bonhardt.
