The Wall Street Journal and the Post-Standard reported on the historic gift by Howie and Louise Phanstiel to establish the Phanstiel Scholars program at SU.

The Grand Rapids Press mentioned a Syracuse University report from 2001 on the benefits and disadvantages of school consolidation.

The Post-Standard’s Encore section highlights the “Take the Mic Poetry Slam” at SU and quotes Cedric Bolton of SU’s Office of Multicultural Affairs. Another Encore article previews the film “Defining Beauty” as part of the Syracuse International Film Festival.

Robert Thompson, director of the Bleier Center for Television and Popular Culture in the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, is quoted in Slashfood on National Coffee Day. He is also quoted by WTOP-AM in Washington, D.C. about the federal proposal to regulate the volume of television commercials.
