Tuesday’s Post-Standard “Green Central New York” section highlights the upcoming 10th Annual SyracuseCoE Symposium, “Restoring Sustainable, Healthy Communities,” which opens with a University Lecture presentation by green economic strategist Majora Carter. Additionally, the section features an article on the Patchwork Collective, led by School of Architecture (SOA) graduate and undergraduate students. The story also mentions Kevin Lair, assistant professor in SOA; D-Build and Don Carr, associate professor of design in the College of Visual and Performing Arts; the iBox, an interdisciplinary center for sustainable business practices; and the Student Sandbox business incubator.
The section’s center spread focuses on electric vehicles and charging stations in Central New York, with mention of the Toyota Prius Plug-in Hybrid vehicles delivered to SyracuseCoE for the Clean Communities of CNY demonstration program.
