The economy may be sluggish, but top employers are still heavily recruiting Syracuse University students for internships and entry-level career opportunities.
On Wednesday, Oct. 6, Syracuse University Career Services will host the Career Fair at the Carrier Dome from 1-5 p.m. Representatives from more than 100 employers will connect with students to discuss internship and job opportunities at their organizations. The event is sponsored by Career Services’ Platinum Sponsors, General Electric, JPMorgan Chase and Macy’s, with additional support from Deloitte and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
The Career Fair is an opportunity for students to network with employers and discuss career opportunities. Among the participating industries are retail, technical, government, not-for-profit, consulting, design, hospitality, public affairs/public relations, advertising, biotechnology and a variety of other fields.
“We’re very proud of the diversity of employers participating in this year’s fair,” says Jennifer Walters, associate director of Career Services. “We encourage all students, from freshman to graduate students, to come and explore the wide range of opportunities that are available to them.”
