ABC News on Campus reported on Syracuse celebrating the fourth annual PARK(ing) Day display of public art spaces, noting the role of COLAB, an interdisciplinary initiative based in the College of Visual and Performing Arts (VPA).
The Syracuse University Bookstore is mentioned in a Wall Street Journal blog entry about geo-location applications offered in university settings. Also, University participation in the launch of Foursquare’s university program was briefly noted in the VentureBeat blog.

Mehrzad Boroujerdi, director of the Middle Eastern Studies Program in the Maxwell School and The College of Arts and Sciences, is quoted an Associated Press article on the release of Sarah Shourd from Iranian prison.
Robert Thompson, director of the Bleier Center for Television and Popular Culture in the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, is quoted in an Atlanta Journal-Constitution story about NBC’s “Undercovers” spy drama and in Daily Finance and Christian Science Monitor stories on political rally events announced by comedians Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert.
