Westcott Street Cultural Fair needs volunteers
The Westcott Street Cultural Fair is a unique neighborhood event that embraces diversity and fosters a sense of community among the more than 8,000 people who gather throughout the day. Enjoying the arts and crafts, learning about your local not-for-profit agencies and the valuable services they provide, hearing wonderful music provided by a variety of local artists, experiencing the delightful kickoff parade and more—it’s all part of this memorable coming together on Sept. 19.
This year, in particular, we are encouraging students from Syracuse University to volunteer alongside community members. This fits our mission of bringing all the groups of our community, especially students and long-term neighbors, together. The fair’s success depends on a great number of volunteers who tend the street barricades, help with setup and cleanup, assist with Kids Korner activities and the needs of the performers, etc. If you would like to be a part of this volunteer effort, we would welcome your help. The process is simple: visit http://www.westcottfair.org and click on “Volunteers.” You will be able to sign up and select a time that is most convenient for you.
We really need your help!
Should you have any questions, please contact Kate Hammer at email@example.com or (315) 443-3919. Thanks you for your consideration. We look forward to seeing you at the fair!
