Room is still available for these upcoming Staff 2 Staff sessions:

• “Basics of Boomerangs” on Wednesday, July 21
• “Exploring PowerPoint” on Thursday, July 22

The programs begin at noon and end by 1:30 p.m. Feel free to bring your lunch to the sessions.

“Basics of Boomerangs” will take place at Hendricks Field (Between Sadler and Lawrinson Hall) on July 21. Come learn how to throw and catch a boomerang! Find out what a boomerang really is and how to throw them so they actually come back to you. Scott Catucci from the Department of Recreation Services will teach you the basics of throwing a boomerang, some games to play with them, and where to buy them. This outdoor activity is fun for all ages with a mild amount of physical coordination.

“Exploring PowerPoint” will take place in Hall of Languages, room 500 on July 22. In this session, Tammy Hnat-Comstock from the Information and Computing Technology Group of the Maxwell School, will review the PowerPoint environment, work with slide layouts (which define containers, positioning, and formatting for all of the content that appears on a slide), and discuss what to do when you want to take your presentation on the road. The Custom Animation Task Pane and the Slide Master will also be discussed.

The full list of Staff 2 Staff sessions can be found on the HR website. Registration is required for all sessions and can be completed online at http://humanresources.syr.edu/staff/nbu_staff/s2s.html.
