David Cay Johnston, distinguished visiting lecturer in the College of Law and Whitman School of Management, authored a column in Tax.com and posted a YouTube video about master limited partnerships and how regulations can shift income tax burdens onto consumers as in the example of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission’s natural gas and petroleum pipeline policy.
The Post-Standard reported on a U.S. Department of Energy grant to support collaborative research by Jianshun “Jensen” Zhang, mechanical and aerospace engineering professor in the L.C. Smith College of Engineering and Computer Science; P. Michael Pelken, assistant professor in the School of Architecture; and others for development of software tools for architects and engineers designing green buildings. The SyracuseCoE and Ed Bogucz, executive director of the center, are also mentioned in the article.
A blog posting in the Wall St. Cheat Sheet noted the upcoming Monetizing Online Business media conference to be hosted by the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications in New York City this week. Conference speakers include Larry Kramer, adjunct professor in the Newhouse School.
