SU NEWS AND EVENTS COVERAGE

A Politico.com blog cited recently released information from SU’s Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse (TRAC) in a post on the backlog of immigration cases waiting to be heard.

A Post-Standard editorial mentioned SU’s South Side Initiative as being part of the local efforts to remember and honor Syracuse’s history, including the 15th Ward. Sean Kirst’s Post-Standard column also mentions the local documentary “Syracuse’s 15th Ward and Beyond,” and its final screening tomorrow night.

FACULTY QUOTES

Robert Thompson, director of the Bleier Center for Television and Popular Culture in the Newhouse School, is quoted in the Toronto Star and on WSYR-AM on “American Idol’s” Simon Cowell. He is also quoted in CNN about off-screen divas, and he commented on WTOP-AM (Washington, D.C.), on the new CBS situation comedy “Bleep My Dad Says” inspired by Justin Halpern’s Twitter page.

Jeffrey Stonecash, professor of political science in the Maxwell School and College of Arts and Sciences, is mentioned in the Post-Standard for the poll he conducted on Syracuse schools.
