University Union Cinemas, the Residence Hall Association (RHA), the SU Rugby Football Club Hammerheads, the Office of Multicultural Affairs (OMA) and Starbucks will host an outdoor festival featuring Oscar-nominated film “Invictus,” starring Matt Damon and Morgan Freeman, on Sunday, April 25, on the Quad outside of Hendricks Chapel.

The event is free and will begin at 7 p.m. with a DJ from student radio station WERW, followed by screenings of student-directed films and poetry readings by Verbal Blend.

Free food and beverages will be provided, including popcorn, cotton candy, candy and Starbucks Doubleshot Espressos. Prize giveaways will be held for items such as Starbucks and SU Bookstore gift cards and DVDs of the popular HBO series “Entourage.”

The film screening will relocate to Gifford Auditorium in Huntington Beard Crouse Hall in the event of inclement weather. “Invictus” will also be shown Thursday, April 22, at 8 p.m. in Room 201 of the Goldstein Student Center on South Campus.
