InsideHigherEd.com reported on the debate surrounding the future of the academic library.

Whitman MBA students Jennifer Dodd ’10, and Laura Beth Williams ’11 are featured in the special February/March “Women in Business” issue of CNY Business Exchange. This issue of CNY Business Exchange also features an article by Kenneth Shaw, chancellor emeritus and University Professor, on developing leadership skills; an article by Kristin Byron, assistant professor of management in the Whitman School, on obstacles for women in leadership; and an article by Mitch Franklin, assistant professor of accounting at the Whitman School, on the IRS rules for home office tax deductions.

Eagle Newspapers reported on the National Institutes of Health grants awarded to faculty researchers from the departments of biology and physics in The College of Arts and Sciences for use in expanding research to find new ways to treat leukemia and to develop new nanotechnologies for disease detection.

Robert Thompson, director of the Bleier Center for Television and Popular Culture in the Newhouse School, is quoted in MTV.com on this season of “American Idol.”
