Orange CNY is a new weekly e-newsletter intended to offer an easy way for Syracuse University alumni and friends in the Central New York region to keep up to date on SU news and events on campus and in the community.
The e-newsletter is free and available via e-mail to anyone within the CNY region who has a passion for Orange—both local SU alumni and other community members who are not directly affiliated with, but are interested in, the University and its many activities.
“Our main purpose for this project is to create an effective means to inform SU alumni and Central New York community members of important news at the University and of the wealth of SU-sponsored events, most of which are free, that are available for their enjoyment,” says Jaime Winne Alvarez ’02, Orange CNY editor and news manager in SU’s Office of News Services.
Orange CNY will be produced weekly during the academic year. The production schedule will decrease to once or twice a month, depending on the availability of content, over the between-semester break and the summer months.
Regular content includes a sampling of news stories, athletics stories, event listings and CNY Alumni Club information, with links to additional online resources.
