Syracuse University’s Say Yes to Education program is mentioned in a Post-Standard article on federal aid to local programs announced by Congressman Dan Maffei.

A Post-Standard editorial summarizes ideas proposed by Gerald Grant, Hannah Hammond Professor of Education and Sociology Emeritus in the School of Education, that could apply to Syracuse-area city and suburban schools.

Rick Burton, David B. Falk Professor of Sport Management in the College of Human Ecology, is quoted in an Associated Press story on celebrity endorsements and in a CNN Headline News report on a Florida Department of Children and Families investigation of Tiger Woods.

Robert Thompson, director of the Bleier Center for Television and Popular Culture in the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, is quoted about George Stephanopoulos in a Media Bistro story on morning show anchors who have gone on to host evening news shows and in a Times Online (UK) story on the potential for a Tiger Woods comeback. Thompson is also mentioned in The Hollywood Reporter story as a jury member in selection of the American Film Institute’s outstanding television programs of the year.

Jeffrey Stanton, associate dean for research and doctoral programs and professor in the iSchool, is quoted in a Smart Money article on electronic communications and privacy.

Kheli R. Willetts, assistant professor of African American art history and film in The College of Arts and Sciences, is quoted in a Syracuse.com story on the Disney film “The Princess and the Frog.”
