Syracuse University is mentioned in an Associated Press article about Amazon.com Inc.’s announcement that it will add two features to make the Kindle e-reader more accessible to the visually impaired. Kay DeVesty, director of financial aid, and Rebecca Rose, financial aid counselor, commented in a Chronicle of Higher Education article on SU’s Money Awareness Program for students with large debt burdens. SU students Sierra Rodriguez-Jiminez and Patrick Ebo were also included in the article.

A news conference Monday at the Syracuse CoE headquarters announcing Siemens’ pledge of $1.55 million to the CoE and U.S. Rep. CoE Executive Director Edward Bogucz later in the day discussed the announcements on the “Jim Reith Show” on WSYR-AM. A photo of Bogucz accompanied Post-Standard coverage of the Siemens announcement.
