Alice Sterling Honig, professor emerita of child development, commented on babies and early childhood learning in The National (Abu Dhabi) story on children’s intelligence and behavior.

Robert Thompson, director of the Bleier Center for Television and Popular Culture in the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, was quoted in an Agence France Presse article on reaction to the White House gate-crashing incident; in a Waterloo Region Record (Kitchener, Ontario) story on celebrity tweeting; and in The Tennessean (Nashville, Tenn.) story about how digital technology is affecting Christmas traditions.

Newhouse School alumnus and Syracuse University Press author John Robinson was interviewed on ABC News about his life story, recently published autobiography, “Get Off Your Knees: A Story of Faith, Courage and Determination,” and 2009 PBS documentary.

Boyce Watkins, assistant professor of finance in the Whitman School, was quoted in an ABC News story on the Tiger Woods brand and marketing image.

Richard Dubin, professor of practice in the Newhouse School, was quoted in a Maclean’s article about “Brothers,” “The Cleveland Show” and other African American television shows.

Two SU students were interviewed for a Post-Standard article about Central New Yorkers waiting to hear President Obama’s plans for the war in Afghanistan.

Syracuse.com reported an offer by Project Orange to supply free steam to SU and its New York State institutional steam customers.

The Post-Standard reviewed the Syracuse Stage and SU Department of Drama co-production of “Little Women.”

The local effort of a National Day of Listening military veterans project supported by SU media students and faculty was featured in a WSYR-TV report. The story mentions Brad Horn, SU graduate student, as co-executive producer of the Veterans Listening Project (VLP).

SU’s street sign return amnesty was reported briefly by Syracuse.com. Darya Rotblat, director of the Office of Off-Campus and Commuter Services, was mentioned in the article.
