Friday, Nov. 20, is the nomination deadline for the Unsung Heroes Awards, which will be presented by the Syracuse University Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Committee during the evening celebration in the Carrier Dome on Jan. 24, 2010.
The theme for this year’s celebration is “Continuing the Journey: Where do we go from here?” The awards are presented annually to people who, in the spirit of King’s “beloved community,” have made a positive difference in the lives of others but who are not widely recognized for their efforts.
Nominations may be made in any of the following categories:
