The students of the Protestant Campus Ministry at Syracuse University and the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry are organizing a “Jelly Jam” in the Strates Conference Room (lower level of Hendricks Chapel) on Monday, Nov. 16, from 11 a.m.-6 p.m.

The “Jelly Jam” will bring students and other members of the SU community together to make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for organizations such as the Syracuse Rescue Mission and University United Methodist Church food pantry that distribute food to those in need.

Those wishing to participate in the “Jelly Jam” do not need to commit to a specific time during the event. Donations of unopened items such as bread (wheat, rye, Italian, bagels or white), peanut butter (creamy or crunchy), jelly (any flavor), plastic silverware, plastic gloves, baggies or brown lunch bags are appreciated.

Those wishing to participate in the “Jelly Jam” should contact Interim Protestant Chaplain Tomi Jacobs at 443-5040 or tojacobs@syr.edu by Friday, Nov. 13.
