The first show of the 2009 Bandersnatch Music Series features Mike Posner in the Schine Underground on Wednesday, Oct. 28. The concert begins at 8 p.m.; doors at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available at the Schine Box Office (315-443-4517) and are $5 for SU students with valid I.D. and $10 for the general public (18+).

Posner isn’t a typical college senior. The 21-year-old singer/songwriter/producer is currently enrolled at Duke University, studying sociology and business, and working on his debut album when he’s not touring on weekends. His first mixtape, “A Matter of Time,” was released in late February 2009 and has been called one of the best mixtapes of the year.

Posner signed with J Records (RCA/Sony) this past July and has worked with artists such as Kid Cudi, Wale, Big Sean, Izza Kizza, Don Cannon, DJ Benzi and 3OH!3. His second mixtape, “One Foot Out The Door,” is set to be released on Oct. 29.

For more information, contact Brittany Frederickson, public relations director for University Union, at press.uu@gmail.com or (732) 995-1809.

Bandersnatch Music Series is a subdivision of University Union Concerts. University Union is the large-scale programming organization for the entire undergraduate population at Syracuse University.
