Healthy Monday presents talk by Scott Fried
Join us from 3-4 pm in the Myron Room behind the plaza in Newhouse 1, Rm 303 on Monday, Oct. 19 as Healthy Monday welcomes a special talk on healthy living with acclaimed speaker and author Scott Fried.
“There are college students in this country who had the highest SAT scores in their high school graduating classes yet they can not name the four fluids that transfer HIV,” Fried said in a recent email. “Many don’t know what the letters AIDS stand for. Most don’t even use condoms, let alone know how to use them correctly. Students are given classes in CPR and first aid, but not in STD/STI sexual health. That means young adults today are being taught how to save someone else’s life, not their own.”
Come listen, dialogue, question and learn.
