Upcoming Syracuse performances by Shen Wei Dance Arts were featured as the cover story in the Post-Standard Stars magazine. Choreographer and artist Shen Wei initiated “Re- (I, II, III)” at a University residency in March. The performances were also reported in Movmnt magazine.

Arsalan Kahnemuyipour, assistant professor of linguistics in The College of Arts and Sciences, and Ebrahim K. Soltani, a doctoral candidate in the Maxwell School, co-authored an op-ed in Sunday’s Post-Standard on the Green Movement in Iran and the aftermath of the recent presidential election.

Robert Thompson, director of the Bleier Center for Television and Popular Culture in the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, was quoted in a USA Today story on President Obama appearing on five television networks.

Mitchel Wallerstein, dean of the Maxwell School, authored an op-ed in the Sunday Post-Standard on Syracuse University’s recently announced Climate Action Plan. Wallerstein is the chair of Syracuse University’s Presidents Climate Commitment Steering Committee.

Nancy Snow, associate professor in the Newhouse School, wrote a Huffington Post column on political rhetoric.

Lee McKnight, associate professor in the School of Information Studies (iSchool), was quoted in Reuters and Central New York Business Journal articles on the merger of Wireless Grids Corporation with Varsity Media Group.

Kristi Andersen, professor of political science in the Maxwell School and College of Arts and Sciences, was quoted in a Post-Standard story on gender issues in the Syracuse mayoral race.

The Saturday Post-Standard previewed the Cultural Diplomacy Symposium featuring a keynote address by Joseph S. Nye Jr.

The upcoming presentation of “Winslow Homer in the 1870s: A Time of Crisis in American Culture” was mentioned in today’s Post-Standard.
