“The English at leisure,” a photojournalism essay by Syracuse University Abroad faculty member Simon Roberts was published in the Guardian (UK).

Milton Mueller, professor in the School of Information Studies (iSchool), was quoted in a Progress & Freedom Foundation article on ICANN and Internet governance.

Syracuse.com reported Sunday on the iSchool’s work on an augmented reality browser called Layar for use with mobile phones.

The Lubin House exhibition of “In Pursuit of the Exotic: Artists Abroad in 19th-Century Egypt and the Holy Land” orientalist art shown in partnership with the Dahesh Museum of Art was mentioned in The National (UAE) article on Amira Zahid and the origin of the Dahesh.

James Tsao, professor and chair of the advertising department at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, was quoted in a Daily Record (Baltimore, Md.) article about Vietnam as a market for American advertising.

Michael Carey, professor of psychology in The College of Arts and Sciences, was quoted in a Post-Standard story on National Institutes of Health grants for research projects funded by economic stimulus money. TheNew York Post and Inside Higher Education also reported briefly on the grants.

SU was mentioned briefly in a New York Times profile of Whitman School of Management alumnus Marty Bandier and the Sony/ATV Music Publishing company.

U.S. News & World Report ‘s best colleges 2010 issue includes SU at rank 58 among best national universities and the Whitman School at 38th among undergraduate business programs.

The Post-Standard reported Saturday on upcoming events for SU’s Pulse Performing Arts Series 2009-10.

An exhibit of photography by Robert Gates, associate professor of English in The College of Arts and Sciences, was featured in the Post-Standard Stars magazine.

A letter by Michael Byrne, a University staff member, detailing 10 campus safety tips appeared in the Post-Standard.
