Mehrzad Boroujerdi, director of the Middle Eastern Studies Program in the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs, was quoted in a Reuters article about the moderate Iranian politician Mirhossein Mousavi.

Gustav Niebuhr, associate professor of religion and media in The College of Arts and Sciences and the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, wrote an “On Faith” column in the Washington Post about the rising demographic of immigrant Muslims in Europe.

Robert Thompson, director of the Bleier Center for Television and Popular Culture in the Newhouse School, was quoted in a Success Magazine story about Steven Spielberg and George Lucas as entrepreneurs.

The Post-Standard and WSYR-AM covered Monday’s mock disaster drill on the Syracuse University Quad and at Hinds Hall. A photo of the helicopter taking off from the Quad during the training exercise appeared in the Post-Standard.

The National Science Foundation award received by Yan-Yeung Luk, assistant professor of chemistry in The College of Arts and Sciences, was reported in Eagle Newspapers.
